Who I am as a photographer...

Where can I begin? I have had a rough journey up to this point and I keep pushing forward through it all..
I started at Loyalist College right after high school. I never thought I would actually go through with going 3 hours away from home, living on my own. I was scared, and so worried I would not be able to do it. I had many people tell me I could not do it. I had people tell me I would not last 6 months. It was a complete wreck.
I got through my first year, learning about multimedia, news, lighting, software, documentary, web page, and much more. This year is where they are expanding on what we already know and helping us gain better, more improved skills.
Photojournalism and photography are something I have always been interested in. There is just something about it that pulled me from the beginning.
I love to capture little moments, I love to interact with new people, and I love making people happy with the work I produce.
Some tips I have learned thus far:
- DO NOT leave things until the last minute.
- Keep contact information from everyone you have worked with.
- Never think you can't do something.
- Ask for help! That is why we have teachers.
- Always have your gear.
- Pay attention in all classes!
- If you fail, retry it. Give it 1000%!
